Tuatara Lodge - Invercargill

As trekkers and a group of friends, we loved the friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, and excellent location. the attached cafe was a definite highlight, and the skylight in our room provided good ventilation.

Felt completely relaxed, no complaints whatsoever.

We had a great time staying in this hotel. the location was ideal, with easy access to transportation options and attractions. Our room was comfortable and clean, providing us with a relaxing atmosphere after a long day of exploring. the staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. the communal spaces were spacious and well-maintained, allowing us to socialize and meet interesting people. our experience at this hotel was enjoyable and we would definitely recommend it to others.

There was some inconsistency with the stocking of the kitchen, which could be improved for a better guest experience.

The location of the hotel was excellent, with easy access to the airport and the InterCity bus stop within walking distance. It was very convenient for travelers like me. the cleanliness of the bathrooms was commendable, making for a comfortable stay. the fact that they had a cafe on-site was also a plus, although the prices were a bit on the higher side.

One major drawback was the lack of basic amenities in the kitchen. There were hardly any utensils or cookware available, making it difficult to prepare meals.

Convenient location for bus transportation, restaurants, and supermarket nearby. Enjoyed visiting Queens Park and shopping malls within walking distance. Spacious dining room and lounges for rest. Tidy rooms with additional glazing for noise reduction. Nice bar with friendly staff. Comfy lower bed. Great amenities like laundry, internet room, and kitchen.

Location was convenient, with easy access to the airport and bus stop. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Plus, the staff provided enough towels and soap for our stay.

The kitchen facilities were lacking, with limited utensils and appliances. The parking area was small and difficult to maneuver in, and there were not enough spots available.

We had a great stay at a lodge in a perfect location for catching buses. the bus stop was right outside, making it convenient for our travels. We loved the cafe and bar downstairs, and the bright and well-stocked kitchen upstairs. the large map of the world on the kitchen wall sparked interesting conversations. Everything was clean and our bed was comfortable, allowing us to sleep well. Another plus was that everything we needed was within walking distance, including a great cafe that was part of the lodge. The food there was delicious.

Only one key was provided, resulting in being locked out with no one to contact. the room lacked hooks to hang up jackets.

Great location in the heart of the city, close to everything I needed. The TV room was a nice space to relax in. The $2 lockers were a lifesaver for my trip to Stewart Island. And it's only a 30-minute walk to the airport.

Enjoyed the charming garden and cozy shared lounge at this lovely hostel. The onsite cafe, hit or miss. Sometimes I got brunch, sometimes I hit the snooze button and missed it.

Such a shame that the carpets were reminiscent of an old hospital. A real treat for the eyes.

The onsite cafe at this hostel is a hidden gem. I had the most amazing brunch at Tuatara Cafe+Bar. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy, like having breakfast in a charming garden. It was the perfect start to my day in Invercargill.
